Rumor has it that Tom Ford is planning to launch an eponymous line of womenswear to complement his incredibly successful foray into men's clothing, eyewear, and beauty. According to an official source (Reuters), Ford is seeking $50 million to bring his sexy, beautiful women’s ready-to-wear back to the runway. The former creative director for Gucci (I’m still coveting one of his cutout jersey gowns) and YSL (remember those gorgeous jewel toned, sheer ruffled dresses) left a big hole in our hearts when he walked away from designing for us girls in 2004. Now it seems he’s ready to come back to us and we are, of course, waiting with open arms.
