My office is my sanctuary and where all my worlds collide. The curtains are from Rajasthan, the red chinese desk I imported from Bali years ago. I dusted it off from storage this year after 5 years of pining for it and lovingly placed my Mac on top. The chinese lanterns hang delicately in the corners and my favorite pillow from Anthropolgie sits proudly on top of my day bed. The walls are painted a non toxic coral. In the rest of the room sits a closet full of my city clothes (in hibernation until days of NYC come winding back around) and in the other 3 corners of the room I keep 3 large billboards. One for life and kids (calendars of play dates, school breaks and inspirational lessons that keep mom's from unraveling). Another for kids art work. Another for photography projects currently in progress. It's kind of like my wizardry room where I coordinate life and often times I have to remember to remove myself and go smell the roses. Or to just put some on my desk. xo

Wild for Ruffian
I don’t know what my current fixation is with Ruffian’s fall line. I’m definitely a sucker for ruffles and dramatic waists, capes and shoulders. Maybe it’s the budding photographer in me looking for strong lines to shoot. I’m in love with this collection…the ladylike elegance with a youthful twist. This is how I would dress if I lived in Paris…with some great heels and oh, I threw in a little Alexander McQueen clutch in there for some punk sensibility. Now there’s someone who knows how to stir up drama. Top this off with a glass of champagne at the Plaza Athenee and je suis vivant le bonne vie!
