In My Space - Shop Til You Drop

The sweet ladies of Shop til You Drop (Australia's answer to Lucky Magazine) were kind enough to feature our Byron Bay space in this year's March issue.  It's funny to see your place through someone else's eyes but I am having a new appreciation for our abode. Shot by Kuni Takamani

Some of my favorite things are my Anna Beck cuff and Fiel Sol Necklace, my lucite vintage bar, our original Todd Diciurcio "Conversations through the Frying Pan", Daeja Fallas Photo "Friendship, A rare Ramones photograph, Missoni Pillows, all things Asian inspired and the vintage crystal table lamp given to me by a special couple.

Atelier

My office is my sanctuary and where all my worlds collide.  The curtains are from Rajasthan, the red chinese desk I imported from Bali years ago.  I dusted it off from storage this year after 5 years of pining for it and lovingly placed my Mac on top.  The chinese lanterns hang delicately in the corners and my favorite pillow from Anthropolgie sits proudly on top of my day bed. The walls are painted a non toxic coral.  In the rest of the room sits a closet full of my city clothes (in hibernation until days of NYC come winding back around) and in the other 3 corners of the room I keep 3 large billboards.  One for life and kids (calendars of play dates, school breaks and inspirational lessons that keep mom's from unraveling).  Another for kids art work.  Another for photography projects currently in progress.  It's kind of like my wizardry room where I coordinate life and often times I have to remember to remove myself and go smell the roses.  Or to just put some on my desk. xo
