Oliver Dashiell

Kate Seton is an LA based jewelry designer with some gorgeous pieces coming our way. Sophisticated, edgy and one of a kind, just like her. Oliver and Dashiell are the middle names of her two adorable sons and so you could only guess that each piece is made with love. We are giving you the inside scoop on this up and coming designer. To contact her hit her up at kaytiedinhseton@yahoo.com and she can tell you what's currently on the design table.

Kate Seton

Who is your style icon?

Kate Moss. I know, rather obvious given her nonchalant rocker chic, but what I find most appealing is that she owns whatever she wears, regardless if it's last night's mascara, cut-offs or skinny jeans. She's a fashion maverick who oozes confidence that never goes out of style.

What's playing on your iPod?
Angus and Julia stone, Florence and the Machine, Temper Trap, She & Him

What is the one item in your closet you cannot live without?
White spaghetti strap tanks and tissue weight white v-necks (they are equally essential in my wardrobe). Perfect for layering and are blank canvases for accessories.

Kain Label at Shopbop

Where is your favorite place in the world?
Any cozy cafe in the 6th arrondissement, Paris OR any spot on the south island of New Zealand - it's raw and absolutely stunning!

What are you obsessing about owning right now?
Hermes cape cod watch double in taupe - I still use a watch and not my phone to tell the time.

What is the most used item in your makeup bag?
Shu Uemura eyelash curler

What is your favorite neighborhood restaurant?
Dominicks - West Hollywood - perfect outdoor patio with cozy fireplaces. The must have cocktail is the Moscow Mule.

What is your necessary extravagance?
Baths and Indian Jasmine candles by Red Flower.

How do you define perfect happiness?
I can't define it, but I can try to describe it. It's those still moments where I find myself smiling because I realize I'm present - whether with the kids, or at the beach or even in traffic. It's like flying downhill on a bike, with the wind blowing in your face and not a care in the world. Or any time I have the urge to squeal, "Whee!" It's a feeling so good we spend so much of our time pursuing it.

Great boots. Loving these from Burberry.

Easy knit pieces like these, from Shopbop.

Time to pull out the cozy blanket for the bed. This Hermes one is fantastic.

Tie up a Turban

Anyone who knows me well knows I have a stack of headscarves strewn about and a few turbans as well (no comments here Ms. Brizendine). "How do you tie these things"? they ask with an unconvinced smile. If it's good enough for Jackie O, Nicole Richie and the Olsens, it's good enough for you.

My two favorite ways:

On the go Chic
Fold into a triangle. Place the center part evenly on top of the forehead and let the ends hang down past your neck in the back. Tie into a knot at the nape of your neck once and then tie kind of messy again for the second time. In the back is good but also to a semi messy bow on the side is my favorite for a great profile fit. To get it to the side just slightly shift the first tie to the side and bow.

Headband Turban
My friend Jenny taught me this very simple way to make a turban headband. Fold lengthwise and this time place the center part at the back of your neck, bringing the two ends forward to your forehead. Take the ends and wrap each other twice over and then bring the ends back to the nape of the neck and tie tight in the back for security. Push into place at the right spot to keep your hair back.

Too confusing? Just buy a Hermes or Pucci scarf and tie it around the handle of your purse. Voila-no fuss and an instant pop of luxurious color and silk.

10 Lords A Leaping...

Our final installment of our "12 Days of Christmas" brings you gifts that are large and small, free and budget blowing. Regardless of what we find under the tree this year we are all getting exactly what we want... time with the ones we love the most. Merry Christmas to all!!

Laura's picks...
Priceless

They can’t be wrapped and have no price tag attached but these are my ultimate fantasy ‘gifts’.

Dinner with Morrissey I would love to get into this man’s head for an evening.

Personal Styling with Tom Ford I can’t think of anything more exciting then being dressed by my personal God of fashion.

Dream Vacation: Seabourn with Friends Could there be anything better than sailing through the Mediterranean on a private yacht with your closest friends and family? Pure bliss and most definitely on my bucket list.
Note: The staff actually does wade into the ocean to hand deliver champagne while you are snorkeling off private islands. Heaven!

A Private Tour of Cy Twombly’s Studio I’m such a fan of Twombly’s work so to get a peek into his creative environment would be quite an honor.

Leslie's picks...
A whole new world

I am excited to announce that I am expecting our first child this Summer. In preparation for his or her arrival I am loving these...

Ruched Midi Dress from Isabella Oliver.
Actually anything from this line of stylish maternity wear would be a nice addition!

"Keep Calm and Carry On" poster for the nursery.
I figure it couldn't hurt to have a daily reminder.

Bella B Moisturizing Body Cream
In the winter months a deep moisturizer is key and when your trying to ward of future stretch marks it's even more necessary!

Chloe Paraty Python Bag
The larger the bag the smaller you look!

Sybil's picks...
Fresh as snow

For Christmas I'm dreaming of some pure freshness...

Orange Crush

What is it about orange - specifically that perfect HERMES orange - that is so crush worthy? According to researchers orange isn't a color that everyone loves but those who do tend to be social and fun loving. Since that surely sums up all of you I think you'll enjoy these orange inspirations.

I am such a huge fan of orange it was one of my wedding colors...
