Friday Favorites - Fall Trends

We're not trying to rush anything, and we are certainly hoping for a LONG lazy summer, but we can't help but daydream a little about chunky knits and layering. Fall will inevitably come and we want to be prepared so here's a look at our favorite Fall trends for 2010...

Sybil's Pick

Metallic

The year is not even half over and I'm mesmerized by these Balmain metallic dresses. They are pretty close to perfection. Isabel Marant got in on the action too. I'm coveting this skirt and leather tie belt!

Texture

As much as I love the warm weather, the fall 2010 runways shows have got me lusting over chunky knits, luxe fabrics, and major texture. here are some of my favorite interpretations from Balmain, rag and bone and Burberry Prorsum.

Animal Skin Accessories

A tried and true classic, animal prints and skins will forever be a fashion staple but this Fall we're seeing them in fresh new ways. Decadent, sure but worth every penny since this trend doesn't seem to be leaving us anytime soon.

Room To Grow - The Babydoll Dress is Back!

Well this trend certainly couldn't come at a better time for me. The babydoll dress is back in vogue. This forgiving, tent-like style was all over the runways for Fall 2010. I am sure it's coincidence but thank you Jason Wu, Marchesa, Proenza Schouler and the rest. Maybe I can avoid elastic waistbands and moo-moos this Fall!
