Friday Favorites - Beauty Secrets

Secrets... we all have them and most are better left unsaid. But today we just had to share a few that are absolutely worth revealing!

...........................................................

Sybil's Pick...

My beauty secret is the ANSR: Beam. It's two light therapies in one. 10 minutes , two times daily is the recommended usage time. The red light is for anti aging and the blue light is for clearing up skin. But is it safe? The ANSR: BEAM utilizes harmless LED (low-emitting diode) photolight, generating very little heat.

Laura's Pick...

My favorite thing about MTV's The City? The shiny beautiful hair. I never thought it possible without a personal styling team at my beck and call. I was wrong. Three weeks ago I got my first Keratin treatment from Hyde Edwards salon and I've been in hair heaven ever since. Five minutes to blow dry and no frizz to be found.

Leslie's Pick...

With middle of the night feedings and diaper changes I wake up to some seriously puffy eyes, but with a few quick dabs of my “miracle eye cream” those seem to vanish. I am loving YSL’s Temps Majeur Eye Cream and I have this little jar of goodness to thank for my well rested appearance.

Friday Favorites - Models

We've got models on the mind this Friday. Whether in editorial or on the runway, these women bring amazing personal style to their work. Here are our current favorites...

...........................................................

Sybil's Pick...

I'd have to say Natasha Poly is my current favorite. Her Vogue Paris editorial channeling Talitha Getty and photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin took my breath away.

Laura's Pick...

The darling of editorial and the face of some of TSC's favorite brands, Dutch model Lara Stone is definitely the most sought after face in fashion right now. I love her for her trademark imperfections and willingness to push the boundaries of fashion when off duty.

Leslie's Pick...

Ethiopian supermodel Liya Kebede is not only the face of J Crew and Balenciaga, but she is the mother of two and an International Goodwill Ambassador... In her “spare time” she’s the creative force behind the clothing line Lemlem, gotta love a multi-talent like that!

Friday Favorites - Summer Beauty

Aside from a hot bikini, the perfect tote, shades and sandals, we all need our go-to summer beauty products. Here are our top picks.

...........................................................

Sybil's Pick...

I'm a teenager at heart and sometimes my skin also acts like I am 16
(especially during the hot months of summer). I discovered my favorite beauty fix at at the new Bliss Spa at the W Hollywood. The DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask is intense and clears me up within days.

Laura's Pick...

I'm finally listening to what all my smart doctors have been telling me about staying out of the sun. But I cannot and will not forgo my summer tan! After testing dozens of self tanners (high end, low end you name it) I have zeroed in on the best of the best. Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer gives the most realistic tan because it builds slowly after one to two weeks of use. It comes in three shades and the best part is you can buy it at your local drugstore for under $10.

Leslie's Pick...

Makeup meltdown is the worst so to avoid that I skip the liquid foundations and go right for a mineral based powder. I've tried a lot, and most of them make me too shiny, but in a little organic store in San Francisco I met and fell in love with ZuZu Luxe Dual Powder Foundation. The coverage is great, it stays on all day and it's really inexpensive. I am fair complected and I can wear both D-7 and D-10. My local Whole Foods carries it so check there if you want to see the product in person. TIP: after applying use an atomizer with water (Evian has a good one) to set it.

Friday Favorites - Fall Trends

We're not trying to rush anything, and we are certainly hoping for a LONG lazy summer, but we can't help but daydream a little about chunky knits and layering. Fall will inevitably come and we want to be prepared so here's a look at our favorite Fall trends for 2010...

............................................................

Sybil's Pick

Metallic

The year is not even half over and I'm mesmerized by these Balmain metallic dresses. They are pretty close to perfection. Isabel Marant got in on the action too. I'm coveting this skirt and leather tie belt!

Texture

As much as I love the warm weather, the fall 2010 runways shows have got me lusting over chunky knits, luxe fabrics, and major texture. here are some of my favorite interpretations from Balmain, rag and bone and Burberry Prorsum.

Animal Skin Accessories

A tried and true classic, animal prints and skins will forever be a fashion staple but this Fall we're seeing them in fresh new ways. Decadent, sure but worth every penny since this trend doesn't seem to be leaving us anytime soon.

Friday Favorites - Flowers!

Spring is certainly in the air, and with every corner flower store proudly displaying their goods, we can't help but stop and pick up some of our favorite blooms. In lieu of sending you all a gorgeous bouquet (which we would love to do!) we'll share with you some lovely images of our personal favorites...

Sybil's Pick

Gardenia

There is nothing like a gardenia to bring back the nostalgic nature of my grandmother's garden. I love the fragrance and simplicity. In essence, they symbolize grace and elegance. One of my favorite candles is Diptyque Gardenia fragrance.

Hydrangeas

I am a purist at heart and have loved white hydrangeas for as long as I can remember. they look perfect alone or grouped with other white flowers. The decor in my home is fairly modern and these flowers do a lovely job of softening up a room. Elegant, luxurious, and perfectly simple in their beauty.

Peonies

Maybe it's because they are only available for a limited time every year, but the Peonies is such a special treat. Like the holiday drinks at Starbucks, I am giddy when they arrive and so sad to see them go. Delicate yet hearty, these gorgeous flowers represent Spring to me.
